Candles with kindness
Because their parents can't afford to send them to school, many children in Nigeria start their lives at a disadvantage. In the same regard, because their parents also didn't have the opportunity to go to school as children, they can't teach their children themselves.
Meanwhile, a severe lack of options for women to work holds these children and their families back further, because food has to be prioritised over schooling.
It's for these reasons that we're currently working to fund a new school in Nigeria, with the intention to provide education to children in the area regardless of gender, create safe and meaningful work for local women, and help build an overall stronger community.
